Service

Individual and owner-operator testing

If someone has told you to get a drug or alcohol test — an employer, an agency, a court, a school, or your own compliance program — we can collect it. Walk in, book a time, or have a collector meet you.

Who this is for

Testing for one person, handled without the runaround

Individual testing is often urgent. A start date depends on it, a return to work depends on it, or a random selection notice arrived with a deadline. We keep the process short: call us, we confirm what you actually need, and we collect it.

  • Individuals sent for a pre-employment test by an employer
  • Owner-operators who need their own testing program and random pool
  • Workers completing a return-to-duty or follow-up testing schedule
  • Anyone who has been selected for a random test and needs it collected today
  • Individuals who simply want a test for their own records

What we collect

Collections available to individuals

Pre-employment

Collected before a start date, for both DOT-covered roles and non-DOT positions.

Random selection

If you have been notified of a random selection through a consortium or employer pool.

Return-to-duty

Collected as part of a return-to-duty process directed by a Substance Abuse Professional.

Follow-up

Collected on the schedule set for you after a return-to-duty process.

Alcohol testing

Available alongside drug collections for both DOT and non-DOT purposes.

Rapid or laboratory

Rapid screening where your program allows it; laboratory testing where it is required.

Placeholder — client to confirm Whether a rapid screen is acceptable depends on the program requiring the test. Tell us who asked you to test and we will confirm which option applies before you come in.

Before you arrive

What to bring

  • Government-issued photo identification. A collection cannot proceed without confirming who you are.
  • Any paperwork you were given. A test authorization form, selection notice, or the name of the company that sent you.
  • Who should receive the result. An employer contact, a program administrator, or yourself.

Placeholder — client to confirm Add any clinic-specific instructions here (payment methods accepted, whether an appointment is preferred over a walk-in, and hydration or timing guidance).

Owner-operators: you cannot be your own random pool

A single-driver operation generally needs to join a consortium so that random selections can be drawn from a pool. CMCC administers a random testing consortium and can enroll you, notify you when you are selected, and collect the test.

Three ways to test

Come to us, or we come to you

  1. Walk in to the clinic

Our North Carolina clinic accepts walk-in collections. Call ahead if you are on a deadline and we will make sure a collector is ready.

  2. Book online

Pick a time through the booking link and arrive when it suits your route or shift.

  3. Request a mobile collection

If you cannot leave a jobsite, a terminal, or a truck, a collector can travel to you.

Fees

What it costs

Placeholder — client to confirm No prices are published on this site because none were supplied. Individual collection fees, consortium enrollment fees, and mobile travel charges should be listed here or quoted by phone. Until CMCC confirms them, this page directs visitors to call for a quote.
