About CMCC

A woman-owned collection company, run by people who answer the phone

Carolinas Mobile Collectors & Consultants was founded to do one thing properly: collect drug and alcohol specimens correctly, on time, wherever the person happens to be — and administer the program that surrounds it.

The owner

Kristen Heffner, founder

CMCC is owned and run by Kristen Heffner. The company grew out of a simple observation: testing providers keep business hours, but accidents, random selections, and hiring deadlines do not. A carrier with a driver waiting at 11 p.m. does not need a voicemail box.

So CMCC was built the other way around. The phone is answered 24 hours a day. Collectors travel to worksites. The clinic takes walk-ins. And programs are designed around the client's operation rather than the provider's convenience — whether that client runs one truck or manages testing across several states.

Being woman-owned and independent means the people who design your program are the people you talk to. There is no account tier that determines whether someone picks up.

How we work

What actually makes us different

These are the things clients tell us they cannot find elsewhere.

We are actually available

24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Post-accident calls are the reason that matters, and they do not arrive during business hours.

Mobile and clinic-based

Most providers do one or the other. We travel to terminals, plants, and jobsites, and we keep a clinic open for walk-ins.

No minimums, no maximums

One owner-operator or a workforce spread across several states. The program scales; the attention does not change.

Nationwide coordination

When your people are outside the Carolinas, we arrange the collection where they are and route results back to one contact.

Woman-owned and independent

Decisions get made by the person whose name is on the company, not escalated through a franchise.

Programs, not packages

Testing schedules, collection types, and reporting are set up around how your business runs, then documented.

Meet the team

The people who will collect your test

You will know who is coming to your site and who is answering your call.

Our collectors

Mobile & clinic

Trained collectors perform every collection, whether it happens at the clinic, at your terminal, or on a post-accident call at two in the morning.

Program administration

Consortium & records

Random selections, Clearinghouse support, and program records are handled by the same people who answer your calls — not a separate department.

Operations

A clinic, a mobile fleet, and a national network

Our North Carolina clinic handles walk-ins and scheduled appointments. Mobile collectors travel throughout the Carolinas to worksites, terminals, and yards. For clients whose people are elsewhere in the country, we coordinate collections at partner facilities and keep the reporting centralized.

The clinic is at 1201 East Church Street, Kings Mountain, NC 28086, and accepts walk-ins.
